Association of Prostate Patients in London and Essex (APPLE)
Mr Bhanot and his team of doctors and nurses have been actively involved with the local charity and patient support group APPLE. They have fully supported the ethos of information, education and support for patients in the local community with prostate problems. Jointly with APPLE they have regularly run several educational events for the general public, nurses and doctors. These have included annual prostate open days. In addition Mr Bhanot and his colleagues have regularly contributed to fund raising for APPLE.
APPLE, in return have repeatedly supported the development of a high tech Urology Cancer Centre at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust with donations to facilitate the purchase of sophisticated modern technology including the laparoscopic kit.
